Our Church

New Testament Church

Acts 2:42 is our key verse that guides our ministry as a whole. Just as the believers in this passage learned from the apostles’ teaching, fellowshiping, and the braking of bread together, we share a meal, go through a short devotional, and talk or play games with others at Family Fun Night. In our Iron Sharpens Iron Bible Study, we encourage our multi-generational gathering in their personal relationships with Jesus Christ by going through the Bible more intentionally, worshiping, sharing another meal, and fellowshiping together.

We are a group of sinners coming together, acknowledging our mistakes but also embracing the opportunity to grow. Through studying Jesus’ ways – His Word, Teachings, Love, fellowship, and accountability – we strive to deepen our personal relationship with Him. As we walk with Jesus, our lives will continuously transform to the beautiful creation God intended, as He constantly works in and through us.

Come join us, as our new testament church is a group of like-minded believers who have a sense of belonging while striving to focus on Jesus more together. Come to a gathering where we can be authentic with each other and witness the transformation in our lives as we hone our personal relationship with Jesus Christ and shout to the rootops and tell others about Him together.

Acts 2:42 ESV

And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.

Our beliefs

One God

There is one God, Creator of all things, who is infinitely perfect, existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4, Rev. 4:11, Matt. 5:48, Matt. 28:19 )

God & Man

Jesus Christ is the true God and true man. He was sent by the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin, Mary. Jesus died on the cross, the just for the unjust, as a substitutionary sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. He rose from the dead according to the Scriptures. He is now at the right hand of the God the Father as our great High Priest. He will come again. (Phil. 2:6–11, John 20:21, Luke 1:34–38, 1 Pet. 3:18, Heb. 2:9, Rom. 5:9, 1 Cor. 15:3–4, Heb. 8:1, Isa. 9:6–7, Rev 1:7 )

Holy Spirit

The divine Holy Spirit is sent to indwell, guide, teach, gift, empower, and bear His fruit in every believer. He convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. (John 14:16–18, John 16:13; 1 Cor. 12:4, 11; Acts 1:8; Gal. 5:22–23, John 16:7–11)

The Bible

The Old and New Testaments, inerrant as originally given, were inspired by God and are a complete revelation of His will for our salvation. They constitute the divine and only rule of Christian faith and practice. (2 Pet. 1:20–21; 2 Tim. 3:15–17)

Sinful Nature

Man was originally created in the image and likeness of God: he fell through disobedience, incurring thereby both physical and spiritual death. All men are born with a sinful nature, are separated from God, and can be saved only through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ. The portion of the impenitent and unbelieving is existence forever in conscious torment; and that of the believer, in everlasting joy and bliss. (Genesis 1:27, Romans 3:23, 1 Corinthians 15:20–23, Revelation 21:8, Revelation 21:1–4)

Salvation

Salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ for all people. Those who repent and believe in Him are justified by grace through faith, born again of the Holy Spirit, delivered from the dominion of darkness, transferred into the Kingdom of God’s Son, granted the gift of eternal life, and adopted as the children of God (1 John 2:2, Rom. 3:21–24 , Titus 3:4–7, Col. 1:13, Rom. 8:14–16; John 1:12)

Sanctification

God will fill each believer with the Holy Spirit and be sanctified wholly, being separated from sin and the world and fully dedicated to the will of God, thereby receiving power for holy living and effective service. This is both a crisis and a progressive experience wrought in the life of the believer subsequent to conversion. (1 Thessalonians 5:23, Acts 1:8, Romans 6:1–14)

Healing

Provision is made in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ for the healing of the whole person. Prayer for the sick and anointing with oil are taught in the Scriptures as privileges for the Church in this present age. (Isa. 53:4–5; Matt. 8:16–17, James 5:13–16, Acts 4:30)

The Church

The Church consists of all those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, and are born again of the Holy Spirit. Christ is the Head of the Body, the Church, which has been commissioned by Him to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the gospel to all nations.

The local church is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together for the worship of God, for edification through the Word of God, for prayer, fellowship, the proclamation of the gospel, and observance of the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. (Ephesians 1:22–23, Matthew 28:19–20, Acts 2:41–47)

Resurrection

There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust; for the former, a resurrection unto life; for the latter, a resurrection unto judgment. (1 Corinthians 15:20–23, John 5:28–29)

The Second Coming

The Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent, will be personal and visible. This is the believer’s blessed hope. (Hebrews 10:37, Luke 21:27, Titus 2:11–14)
